Paperback - My natural vision is unique because I have an eye disease called Salzmann’s nodular degeneration (SND). SND is a very rare disease that normally affects older women. My father also suffers from the same progressive disease, and since it is progressive, that means it gets worse as time passes. Salzmann’s Nodular Degeneration is a condition in which gray-white to bluish patches are seen on the cornea. The cornea is thin and clear, and it covers the eye. It is important because it helps you see by focusing light as it enters the eye. Before I started getting treatment, I could see only shadows. My eyes were almost white, and I had only 2 percent of my vision. I have all the side effects, which include blurred vision, double vision, very poor night vision, and in some cases, gradual loss of sight. Surgery does make some of the symptoms a little better. But I still have all the symptoms, even though they are easier to manage after having surgery. My supernatural vision is unique because I see things that will happen in the future. Even though the visions appear to be dreams, what I see ends up coming true. The visions are not déjà vu. Déjà vu is the feeling of having already experienced something that is currently happening. A vision is something you can actually see, and it ends up happening in the future. Sometimes I am able to see only a small part of my dream through my supernatural vision, while other times my supernatural vision shows the whole dream. It’s funny. Even though my natural vision was broken, my spiritual vision sees everything.
