Dates: Wednesdays, 10am-12:00noon
Duration: June 8-July 27
This is a culturally based opportunity for area tweens to engage in relevant literature about the African American presence in literature and history as they build their own library of diverse books. They will also engage through storytelling, writing, and poetry. They will read 4 books during the course of the eight week session and will own the books they read. Each participant will expand their speaking skills by preparing and presenting a poster, paper, or picture relevant to their story.
Total cost for the eight sessions is $280
